TORRENT FILMS is a film and television production company headed by producer Tony Simpson. Tony has over thirty years experience in the film and television industry. He trained in television drama production and has worked in all aspects of the industry - from directing NZ’s soap opera, to assistant directing on Hollywood blockbusters, creating and producing children’s animation series, directing documentaries and  commercials, and helming two family feature films. 

With Tony’s experience from working across all areas of production from development, raising finance, producing, directing, writing, editing and marketing, has allowed him to understand the challenges and demands of the film making process, with its competing creative and financial imperatives.
